What Is Crimped Wire Mesh?
Crimped wire mesh (also called pre-crimped woven wire mesh) is made by pre-bending (crimping) the wires before weaving. This structure locks wires in place, keeps openings consistent, and improves strength—especially when using thicker wire or larger openings.
Anpeng crimped wire mesh can be supplied as rolls, cut-to-size panels, or vibrating screen panels with edge preparation for your screening deck.
Materials & Finish Options
Choose the right material for wear, corrosion, and operating conditions:
High Carbon Steel / Spring Steel: common for screening, good wear resistance
Stainless Steel (304 / 316): corrosion resistance for wet or corrosive environments
Galvanized Steel: outdoor and general industrial protection
Custom options available based on your project requirements
Vibrating Screen Panels & Edge Options
For vibrating screens, correct edge preparation ensures tension and stable performance. Anpeng can supply screen panels with:
Hooked edge (common for tensioned decks)
Bolted / clamped edge (for bolt-down or clamp bar systems)
Side tensioned solutions
Cut-to-size panels for quick replacement
To match your deck correctly, please share: screen brand/model (if available), deck length/width, tensioning method, and your target cut size.

FAQs
What is crimped wire mesh used for?
It’s commonly used for heavy-duty screening on vibrating screens and for industrial panels where strength and stable openings are required.
Crimped wire mesh vs welded wire mesh—what’s the difference?
Crimped wire mesh is woven with pre-crimped wires, offering good flexibility and impact resistance for screening. Welded mesh is rigid and typically used for structural or guarding applications.
Lock crimp vs double crimp—how do I choose?
Double crimp is a reliable general option. Lock crimp provides stronger intersection stability and is preferred for heavier loads or larger openings.
Can you make screen panels with hooked edges?
Yes. Anpeng can supply hooked edge panels and other edge types to match your screen deck.
Which material is best for wet screening?
For wet or corrosive environments, stainless steel is often recommended. For high wear in dry conditions, high carbon steel is common. We can recommend based on your material and site conditions.
What information do you need to match my current mesh?
A photo with a ruler, opening size, wire diameter, panel size, and edge type is usually enough. If you have a sample, we can match it precisely.
